What’s the Role?

This position will entail serving as a subject matter expert in sourcing and talent attraction of talent across the US serving our markets which can be generally categorized as in-pool and outdoor furniture manufacturing and sales. The Human Resources Manager [HR Manager] will interact with various hiring managers, Directors, business leaders up to and including senior level management, and lead all activities related to the fulfillment of talent staffing needs for all Ledge operating companies. Additionally, the HR Manager shall advise hiring teams on the most effective sourcing strategy that will support the identification of desired talent and communicate any key labor market trends that may impact the candidate search. Furthermore, the HR Manager must demonstrate a deep knowledge of talent acquisition, including, but not limited to: recruiting strategy development, candidate sourcing, pipelining, stakeholder management, assessment/selection, training partnerships, job evaluation, merit/performance administration, and exit interviews.

The HR Manager will report directly to the Director of Human Resources; and will lead a team of two (2) - three (3) human resource team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, attract, and onboard exceptional professional talent for a broad range of technical, operations, sales, and engineering roles to include, but not limited to, CNC machinists, product engineers, warehouse associates, production and assembly, marketing, and sales.
  • Develop and execute sourcing and recruitment strategies to identify external talent.
  • Deliver screened and qualified candidates in a timely manner to hiring managers.
  • Drive a positive candidate experience to ensure engagement throughout the recruitment process.
  • Own and drive an efficient hiring process and set expectations effectively with Hiring Managers.
  • Manage and develop requisition and key staffing related processes.
  • Consult with business leaders on talent-related strategies and initiatives throughout the course of a search to influence decisions regarding recruitment strategy, profile development, assessment methods, and final selection.
  • Manage key business relationships; partner effectively with business leaders and functional teams to ensure business requirements are clearly understood and met; maintain broad influence through ongoing development of internal/external relationships across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain training programs as they relate to positions and departments.
  • Ensure job evaluations are being completed company-wide.
  • Assisting in the development of merit/performance administration.
  • Report on metrics, status updates, and provide weekly hiring manager updates.
  • Participate in the leadership and development of the HR team.
  • Serve as a layer between the Director of HR and the HR Team; where there has previously been no layer.
  • Assist with other projects or assigned tasks, as needed.

Requirements:

The candidate shall have, at a minimum, 3+ years leadership experience and a minimum of 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in talent sourcing and recruitment, and HR Generalist responsibilities. The candidate must have the following minimum experience:

  • Subject matter expertise in the areas of talent attraction, assessment, and selection of professional talent.
  • Strong understanding of current recruiting platforms and technologies that can maximize candidate sourcing.
  • Strong written/ verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills and presentation abilities with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals both internal and external to the organization with proven ability to communicate in a clear, focused and concise manner.
  • Consultative and collaborative style; ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships across the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively engage and influence all levels of staff and management.
  • Proven capability to handle volume of requisitions and strong ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities.
  • Highly organized, team player, flexible, and able to support the leadership team.
  • High degree of business acumen with the ability to work independently and with high-degree of integrity.
